Origami Definition:
- "Origami" combines Japanese words "ori" (to fold) and "gami" (paper).
- Art of paper folding, possibly of Chinese origin.
- Typically uses square paper, no cutting or glue.
- Variations include rectangular paper and banknotes.
- Kirigami involves cutting paper.

Types of Origami:
- Classic Origami:
- Uses a single piece of paper.
- Creates animal or object figures, sometimes with multiple pieces.
- Modular (Pieced) Origami:
- Combines multiple pieces to create 3D geometric shapes.
- Similar to interlocking toys with unlimited shapes.
- Modern Variations:
- Includes architectural, pop-up, and kirigami.
- Allows cutting and gluing.
- Kirigami is symmetrical, while origami focuses on shaping.

Cultural Significance:
- The crane is significant in Japanese culture.
- Making 1000 cranes is believed to bring a long, beautiful life.
- Popularized by Sadako Sasaki, a girl affected by the Hiroshima bombing.
- She aimed to make 1000 cranes for recovery but died after 644 cranes.
- August 6, anniversary of Hiroshima bombing, is celebrated in her memory.
- Children make cranes for peace and send them to her monument.
Aims
- To learn the basic principles of origami art.
- To enable them to recognise the art of Storigami.
- To enable them to gain both a visual and narrative experience by combining origami designs with a story.
- To develop story writing and storytelling skills and accordingly strengthen memory, support small muscle motor development, develop left and right brain harmony, and encourage creativity.
- To enable students to develop creativity, aesthetics, hand-eye coordination and hand skills.
- To develop skills such as patience, focusing, 3D spatial thinking, self-expression ability, product creation.
- To ensure the use of Web2.0 tools
- To increase social and language skills by communicating with different cities, countries and cultures
- To encourage students' creativity; to develop co-operation, self-confidence and sense of responsibility and to enable them to create their own stories.
- To support teamwork and communication skills.
- By preparing the ground for design-skill workshops, it is aimed to meet a new branch of art, to move away from negatively used technology and to use it in a positive way and to open their horizons.

MONTHS OUR TASKS OCTOBER
1. Teachers introduce themselves and do ice breaking activity.
2. Teachers get information about the detailed plan of the project and add ideas if they wish.
3. Teachers introduce their schools on twinspace.
4. Teachers join Whatsapp and Facebook groups of the project.
5. The students are informed about the project.
6. The students introduce themselves and present their schools on Twinspace.
7. The students are informed about e-safety,the twinspace netiquette and they will know how to use twinspace tools for collaboration and communication.
8. The students will write some words about the twinspace netiquette on mentimeter web 2.0 tool.
9. The students will take the eSafety Kahoot Quiz.
10. They prepare logos and posters for the Logo Contest.
11. Each school will choose two logo proposals from the logo works done together with the students, and then upload these logo works . we will choose our logo with the students by voting.

JANUARY Writing a joint story (Adam's Life).Talking about traditions and cultures.
We are gonna to write a story about Adam together.We will use StoryJumper web 2 tool.I hope you will all enjoy while writing our story. First of all we should create our character ADAM.We will draw him.Baby Adam, child Adam, young Adam,adult Adam and senior Adam....
At the end we are going to have quiz about Adam book at the meeting .
FEBRUARY We' re gonna to prepare our question-answer videos and do our logo puzzle
MARCH We're gonna to present our cities' historical places and prepare videos. We are planning to visit the places. Students are also going to show an ability of them, prepare videos.
APRİL Preparing a dinner table with all partner schools. Students will share their traditional food recipes and prepare videos.
